Amazing location - where the Elephant come for the fresh
water. It’s a remarkable experience.
When we camped there the maintenance was severely lacking
and the campsite looked run down and not cared about. But I think that some
maintenance has now being done and I see bomas and new braais at each campsite.
However, still a lovely place and having the elephant
walking through the campsite is amazing!
The road in might require 4x4 if you are towing a big rig -
but nothing serious.
No power at Elephant sands and the water in not potable. A
lovely restaurant and a deck overlooking the waterhole – close encounters of
the elephant kind !
