Namastat - Springbok - Campsite Review
- Namastat Campsite
- Springbok
- Northern Cape
- South Africa
This
campsite in Springbok is part of the Country Hotels group. You check in at the
hotel reception. But the campsite is not their priority and, sadly, it’s
not in a good state. We will not be staying here again (there are some nice
ones around Springbok). We found the maintenance lacking, the dishwashing
facilities dirty and neglected and some rubbish lying around. Also, they have
wooden chalets as well and unfortunately, they allow very noisy parties (numerous
complaints to the hotel security and reception resulted in absolutely no
response) and vehicles racing around the campsite at night.
On
previous visits, prior to the hotel being built and the wooden shacks being
erected, we had a lovely time at Namastat and the place was really nice and
clean.
- Close proximity to Springbok
- Views from the campsite
- Old ablutions
- Dirty and unkept disk washing facilities
- Lack of management - (allowing noisy party all night and doing nothing even when we complained multiple times)
- Lots of the sites are not level
- General lack of maintenance and cleanliness.
