DG Overlanding camped at Rotsinbos - a lovely game farm in a natural setting. Rotsinbos now offers a selection of accommodation options from Communal Ablution Camping Sites, Private Ablution Camping sites, Off-Grid Camping Sites to lodge/safari tent accommodation. They also offer hot tub hire as well as game drives. There is a shop, a swimming pool and a kiddie’s plat area.

DG Overlanding stayed at Phangwa Bush Camp - a really nice bush camp. Quiet and peaceful. Phangwa has lovely big private ablutions, they provide a braai and there is a lovely clean swimming pool. Situated within Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve, but within a conservancy, Phangwa Bush Camp is unfenced and plains game roam freely. Electric power is also provided.

Riverside Paradise is a lovely, dog friendly, campsite 1.5 hours from Johannesburg. 

10 Campsites, located alongside a river. Communal ablutions, hot water and lovely showers. 

Sites with and without power. Braai and fire pit. Hiking trail. Swimming pool.

DG Overlanding camped at Doorndraai Lodge and Caravan Park. 

Stunning campsite in a game farm. Electric power point – braai and fire pit (starter wood provided each day) 

Private ablutions – we had site 5 with a bath and a shower. Hot water provided by solar geyser – was always very hot. Pressure good. Lovely enclosed wash up area with double sink (super!!) Paved area for pitching your tent. Sites are private with “fence” between your neighbours. But, if you know your neighbours or are camping with family/friends a gate can be opened between each site. 

Bird life was great and a few animals camp past the campsite. You can purchase animal feed to encourage the animals. You are also able to drive around the farm and there is also a 4x4 track. Doorndraai also has wild campsites – with no amenities – and they were busy constructing further wild campsites. Staff were amazing – and you can “employ” them to wash your dishes as well. Wood and ice are available, but there is no shop or restaurant. They also have mountain bike trails, hiking as well as a kiddies play area and a splash pool. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Eagles Nest Bush Camp !

Just spent a few days at this lovely campsite! Eagles Nest is super - 8 sites all with private ablutions, a braai, electric power and a fire pit. Lots of shade, a kiddies play area and a small pool. On a working farm, so there are some buck as well as sheep that roam around the campsite.
Nice and quiet.
Eagles Nest is on the road between Bela-Bela and Thabazimbi.
Really nice !

Playground
Lovely kiddies playground. A trampoline, swings, slides and more!

Toilets
Private ablutions for each site. Really nice shower, flush toilet, hand basin and wash up facilities for each site.
