We have stayed at the stunning Red Sands Country Lodge campsite a few times. Nestled in the heart of nature, this campsite offers an unforgettable experience.

Red Sands offers private as well as communal ablutions (all super clean!). There is limited (if any depending on the season) grass. But all campsites have electric power as well as fire/braai areas. It's on a game farm, (you can also drive around) so some animals do come around. Also, they have a lovely restaurant where dinner and breakfast are served.

They do also have chalets, which are also excellent.

A lovely campsite for an ideal stop-off if travelling further into the Northern Cape !!

This is an ideal campsite if you are travelling from Johannesburg or Pretoria to the Kalahari ! They have stands with both private and with communal ablutions. There is not much grass, but then it is the Kalahari !! Stands have electric power points and are all clearly marked. Private ablution stands have their own shade unbrella as well as a nice braai pit. The communal stands have a really nice built in braai as well as a wasj up fcacility. The communal ablutions are the cleanest that we have seen !! There is a swimming pool and a lovely restaurant. But there is no shop or fuel.

They also have chalet accommodation.

What we liked about this campsite:

• Lovely clean ablutions
• Electric power
• The braai
• Lovely peaceful setting
• The animals
• Great restaurant (we had breakfast and it was really good)
• Self drive around the farm

What we did not like:

• Nothing !
