Senyati - a lovely campsite just south of Kasane, the gateway to the Chobe National Park.

Senyati has private ablutions, electric power, a small shop (not much available) as well as a lovely deck overlooking a waterhole where elephant come to drink the fresh water. They also have a nice underground bunker which takes you almost up to the elephant.

The private ablutions have hot water from a donkey boiler as well as flush toilets.

They also have a very nice swimming pool.

There are 2 entrances to Senyati, one for 4x4 only and the other for 2x4 high ground clearance vehicles. The 4x4 only is not recommended if you are towing.

Senyati is close to Kasane where there are shops, restaurants as well as filling/fuel stations etc.

Amazing location - where the Elephant come for the fresh water. It’s a remarkable experience.

When we camped there the maintenance was severely lacking and the campsite looked run down and not cared about. But I think that some maintenance has now being done and I see bomas and new braais at each campsite.

However, still a lovely place and having the elephant walking through the campsite is amazing!

The road in might require 4x4 if you are towing a big rig - but nothing serious.

No power at Elephant sands and the water in not potable. A lovely restaurant and a deck overlooking the waterhole – close encounters of the elephant kind !
