One of our favourite campsites !
Kyleu Bush Camp is situated withing the Dinokeng Game Reserve in Gauteng South Africa. It had both fenced and unfenced campsites with private ablutions as well as off-grid campsites with no facilities.
There is no power at the sites so you need to have solar to keep your fridge running and the lights on at night.
What we liked about Kyleu:
- Lovely private ablutions with hot water from gas
- The unfenced feeling of the African wilderness
- Stands are far enough apart so mit feels like you almost alone in the bush
- The animals passing through
- Free standing braai (that you can move around)
- Fire pit
What we did not like about Kyleu:
- Can sometimes hear the noise from the tounship (even though it's outside the park). Although this is not really a problem as it's quiet during the week, but on weekends can possibly be a rumble in the jungle. Not bad, though.
